Where life is so good

Makenna Koffee Co. began with a simple belief: a coffee shop should leave people happier than when they walked in. If caffeine can boost your mood, why can't the shop and the baristas making your coffee boost it too?

So in 2019, the family set out to create a different kind of coffee shop in Simi Valley: exceptional coffee and quality ingredients, beautiful shops, good music, baristas having fun, and everyone made to feel welcome.

At a young age, one of the founders started a surf business that had him living between California and Hawaii. Years later, his daughter was named Makenna after Makena Beach on Maui. When it came time to name the coffee shop, Makenna felt like home.
